Over the past 30 years our interactions with Customers has allowed us to analyse the Consulting work we have done with those organisations. Our Executives and Consultants did not preach a firms core message. State what they thought the Customer wanted to hear. No, far more importantly they listened and they learnt from those Customers. They gained their Industry experience by both listening and being in tune with the values and cultures of the organisations they dealt with.
They have listened to phrases such as “We are doing this because...”, “We not do that here as it would impact ....” and “Of course we cannot follow that path due to...”. Invariably those arguements make initial sense, they are convincing and, 30 years ago, our Executives and Consultants may not have known enough about the Industry to challenge those observations. They can now though.
They can do so confidently as a result of the Industry experience they have gained. They have a mindset which looks at Company values, at Industry arguments, at Facts and Business Constraints. When they are working as a Suracle Consultant they can assess what they are hearing from the Customer and apply their experience to those traits outlined. By doing so Suracle both Consult and Deliver advice based on shared experience and knowledge. Not simply preaching what the recipient wishes to hear, but working as a trusted advisor and peer with a shared passion for that Industry.
